I was honored to have the opportunity to prepare a meal for the guests at Dr. Sebi’s Usha Village in Honduras.
Working side by side to Chef Evelyn and Doris, LP Share and I prepared my ‘Taco Tuesday’ recipes to take advantage of the fresh produce of the village. Before getting started we had to take a trip to La Ceiba for a few grocery items. We stopped at three grocery stores before heading to a uniquely set up drive through farmers market! We didn’t have to leave the car and found the avocados and cilantro we were looking for, before heading back to the village.
Chef Doris did an amazing job preparing the teosinte tortillas. Be sure to check it out in the video below. Teosinte is basically the original ancient “corn” or “maize”. It is not readily available in the states and is mainly found in Mexico & Central America. This is one of the reasons it’s not found on Dr. Sebi’s Nutritional Guide.
Check out our adventure below and hear first hand from those we had a chance to serve!
